Character Design - Wilhelmina "Will" Rizenbolt.

This is a character concept, my reaction to designing a "Wizard" per a teachers instructions. Her name is Wilhelmina, but her friends' call her Will. A tomboy since she was born, she decided to take the less conventional route for a girl possessing magical powers. Her mother, and her mothers' mother and so on before her were all hedge witches and midwives to their village, and she was expected to carry on in their footsteps. Her stubbornness shown through when her best friend, Geoffry was found to have magical powers and began studying under the Elder Wizard in their town. Upset with this, Will convinced Geoffry to teach her whatever he learned, and when her abilities made themselves known, the Elder Wizard admitted that her powers were much too great to be just a common hedge witch, and took her under his wing with Geoffry. Striking out as one of the lone female Wizards in her country, on an adventure of the ages, Will meets friends, foes and even gains her own Familiar, nothing less than a young Dragon whom she helps and forges a bond with. Garret, the dragonlet, pledges his life to her and unknowingly becomes attached for the rest of time. More adventure awaits this young Wizard, defying the norms of society and learning what really makes friends or enemies, as well as what her kingdom is really made of.
